Shouting, SMS, WhatsApp or a beep: how to call orders?

When an order is ready you need to alert the right customer, fast. Most shops shout the number. Others send an SMS or a WhatsApp message. Here is what each method involves, and what a beep on the customer’s phone changes.

Shouting the number

Free and immediate. But with music, machines and conversations, many customers don’t hear. Staff repeat themselves, the room gets loud, and customers stand near the counter so they don’t miss it.

Sending an SMS or a WhatsApp message

You have to ask for and note the customer’s phone number, then type the message by hand or pay for each SMS. It takes time on every order and means keeping phone numbers: personal data to protect.

Ringing the phone with YallaReady

The customer scans a QR and types their ticket number: no personal data asked, no phone number, no account. At the counter, one move: tap the number when it’s ready. The phone rings, the customer comes.

  • No phone number collected
  • No cost per message
  • One tap instead of typing a message
  • Alerts are erased when the order ends

Combining methods

Customers without a phone are still there. The YallaReady till shows which orders have an alert and which must be called out loud: you keep both, without mistakes.
